Armed forces from 12 o'clock in the night- The Daily Human

Members of the Armed Forces (Army, Navy and Air Force) will remain on the field all over the country on Monday (December 24th) to protect law and order in front of Eleventh National Parliament Election. On Sunday (December 23rd), there is a directive to take part in the field of duty as a striking force from midnight. After getting the instruction, the armed forces are preparing to take part in the field. Director of Inter-Services Public Relations Lt Col Alamgir Kabir confirmed this information.


Earlier on Dec 13, the Election Commission (EC) Secretary Helaluddin Ahmed told reporters about the decision to deploy the army. On that day, he said, "The EC has decided, the Armed Forces will be deployed on December 24th. To work as a striking force, the Armed Forces will remain in the field until January 2. Besides, on December 18, the members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members were brought to the ground to protect the law and order. One thousand 16 platoon BGB is now working in the field.

According to EC sources, with each team of the Armed Forces one executive magistrate will be there. After the decision to deploy the Armed Forces, the instructions were sent to the concerned ministry. Under the 5 January 2014 election, the army is being deployed under 'In Aid to Civil Power'. Armed forces will work as a striking force.


Earlier, the army had been in the country for 15 days till December 9, 2014 to 9 January 2014 in the 10th parliamentary elections. They serve under an executive magistrate and metropolitan area in the general area under a commissioner. About 50 thousand troops were functioning across the country. In this case, a battalion (740 members) in each district and one platoon (35) in every upazila were in charge.
